Mr. Bertola is responsible for the real estate development and asset management at Miller-United which includes a role in acquisitions, entitlement, and development of the company portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial assets. As Director of Real Estate Shay has a broad role in directing and managing projects from start to finish with a diverse group of land planning, entitlement, and engineering consultants.

 

Shay comes to Colorado by way of Salt Lake City where he previously worked doing both commercial and residential real estate development for prominent Utah companies such as Maverik, Ivory Homes Utah’s largest Homebuilder and Mountain America Credit Union.

 

Mr. Bertola possesses experience in international real estate where he was Head of Global Real Estate for the Australian Company Boart Longyear (BLY). As Head of Global Real Estate, Mr. Bertola was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and leasing across five continents with real estate deals and operational functions from South Africa to Peru. During his time at (BLY) he led the global corporate relocation project where the company consolidated its manufacturing, distribution, drilling services and the corporate office headquarters into one mega facility.

 

Mr. Bertola received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Marriot School of Business at Brigham Young University and later attended the MRED Master of Real Estate Development program at the University of Utah.
